Hate: That I, myself, had to take a sick day, for me. A serious allergy that presented with intense post nasal drip that resulted in the body also reacting with asthmatic symptoms. Seriously, a wet-loose cough mixed with a dry breath-grabbing cough equals no sleeping at night and sore tummy muscles.
Hate: That last night I gave in to use the vaporizer only to find gray gunky stuff dropping out of the cylinder. Yuck and major disappointment at midnight. I considered sleeping on the bathroom floor with the shower steaming.
Hate: I actually felt a bit guilty calling in sick. I did not have a fever and no bodily fluids to truly call me "sick". Although sheer exhaustion arrived as I only slept about an hour last night.
Love: Same day appointments. Love the doctor, will switch to her.
Love: She reacted with severity when looking in my throat. She must have asked me 5 times if I had asthma as a child. She verified my need to stay home from work. Guilt was erased.
Love and Hate: The cocktail of medications prescribed to me! An antibiotic (as my immunity is reduced with acute coughing, this is to prevent infection), a steroid to calm the bronchials, a nasal spray to reduce the mucho swelling in the nasal passages, and Claritin D to reduce the mysterious allergy that I am reacting to. She suggested Benadryl to knock me out at night, scared to add that. Since the steroid and Claritin hype me up.
Love: The sitter had Norah so I doctored alone, the hubby went to the pharmacy for me, and I napped on the couch with one kiddo napping and one watching a movie after school.
Love: My volunteering at a local church resale allowed me to pre-shop and snatch up some awesome deals!
Hate: Kids will outgrow what I snatched, hopefully not until spring!
