HO HO HO!!

Simon's second Santa visit was not so happy. His blanket and Rudolph did not help at all. Grandma Wiens even witnessed the upsetting Santa visit. We think even Santa was a bit worried. We thought riding the train after Santa would be a treat for Simon. One lap around was fine, but Simon cried through the rest of the ride. We did find out that Simon is on Santa's NICE list. Are you????

Eating with Grandpa

Grandpa and Simon really enjoyed meal time together. Simon quickly learned that Grandpa played games that Mommy and Daddy do not. Simon especially thought giving or feeding Grandpa "undesirable food" was quite fun as well asking for food off of Grandpa's plate. I think Grandpa may have taught Simon some bad habbits!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We were blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa Lussow and Grandma and Grandpa Wiens around our table. Simon took his nap during Thanksgiving dinner and woke up at the end of the feast. Post nap, Simon enjoyed the turkey, but did not gobble up stuffing or mashed potatoes.
We all enjoyed having Grandma and Grandpa Wiens for the long weekend. We did some really fun things around the Chicago area. We felt that 60 degrees may be too warm to start off the holiday season. But, walking around in light coats at the end of November is a treat!

Grandma sure loved up Simon! He played with his musical light up Rudolph that Grandma gave him. They enjoyed watching Rudolph for the first time.

Simon watched Grandpa complete the finishing touches to our new and improved temperature controlled thermostat. Thanks for all your help!

Simon decided while wearing a clear box that it was okay to give Grandpa a kiss - yep, through the box. Take the box off, and no kiss! Grandpa and Simon took turns wearing the box and giving kisses!

Getting Ready for Turkey Day

Simon was extra helpful in preparing for our Thanksgiving feast. He thought emptying his kitchen drawer and then sitting in it was something that needed to be done. He worked hard at cleaning the floor so it was spotless for Thanksgiving Day with his Grandmas and Grandpas. He tuckered himself out and fell fast asleep. We love how he still sleeps with his but up in the air!

A Luedtke Thanksgiving

We enjoyed Thanksgiving with the Luedtke's on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We had a blast! Everyone was there, including all the nieces and nephews. Simon had fun playing with everyone!

My Favorite Things

Here is Simon with a few of his favorite things. His blanket has been quite significant this past week. Blanket is a really good buddy! Simon LOVES boxes. If you would like to make his day, just send him a big, empty box.

Here is a little message from Simon:
p[['';;;;;; jy -pgpop;hpu[['''//l.ll,, j hgb h
We will let you interpret what that means!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, thank you for being such a blessing to our family!

First Fort

Simon enjoyed crawling in, out, and through his first fort. Mommy draped a Great Grandma Jarard afghan over Simon's highchair (a wooden one like in the restaurants). He even took a retreat in his fort when the scary monster vaccuum was turned on! It is so much fun to see imagination at it's earliest!

Raking Leaves

We bundled Simon up and headed out of doors to participate in the fall ritual of raking leaves. He really did not mind the cool day and even helped out. Truly, it was help. He had his own grocery bag and he picked up leaves and put them in. Okay, so it was all of five leaves. But definitely more helpful than next year when he will jump in and spread out the already gathered leaves!

Where's Your Nose?

Simon makes this scrunched up nose face quite often every day. It means many things. Sometimes it means "where's your nose?" and other times it is an unmistakeable refusal. And even Other times it is a playful taunt! We think it is quite adorable and are lucky to have captured it.
