Numb

My mouth is numb.  The roof, upper jaw, and some of my lips are numb.  Swallowing is weird.  I usually abhor the numb feeling, but today I am hoping it hangs around as long as possible today.

You see, I had my upper wisdom teeth pulled this morning.  They showed up in the back of my mouth around the same time that Norah was teething.  Not the most fun event to wake up looking forward to attending.  The worst part was the shots to the roof of my mouth.  Not so fun.  I hope the numbness last awhile.  Biting on gauze right now is just fine with me.  I did take some pain medicine to help when the numbing agents leave me.  And will take more when needed; it is not prescription - just over the counter.

So, numb today on a dreary, chilly rainy day. Norah is at the sitter and Simon is still at school.  I can rest, sleep, and even mope if I want to!

I hope you are not numb today!
