Embarking on Summer Projects

  • After school is done for me and Simon's last day ,
  • And preparations for and actual rummage sale, birthdays, father's day, VBS, cleaning the basement and garage, additions to the playhouse, possible kids' room redo, and garden,
  • While enjoying the pool, summer reading program, bowling for free, and library events,
  • During summer reading, writing, and math skill maintenance,
  • After squaring away child-care for the fall,
  • While enjoying a trip to MN to play at Grandma's,
  • and enjoying plenty of other summer fun events,
I have some plans for projects. (And you may wonder why pictures never pop-up here, whew!)

What could I possibly add to that list, besides sleep?
  • t-shirt dress or no-sew tutu for Norah's princess Halloween costume (to be worn with already made cape and crown)
  • a crochet tea set for Norah's Christmas present
  • consider making t-shirt dresses or tunic dresses for nieces christmas gifts or pillowcases for nieces and nephew
  • decide whether or not to crochet bead-trimmed socks to sell at my church's fall craft sale. "Grandma Sally", who lovingly enjoys Norah in the nursery adores her socks and invited me to sell at her table.
  • read enough "adult" books to enter the drawing for the summer adult reading program at the library
  • make book slings for the play house and book slings by the kids' beds
  • perhaps arrange my caseload and prepare folders with calendars, data sheets, goals/objectives, and a game plan to get ahead on next school year.
So much fun ahead! I admire all of my readers who post their weekly progress on projects. I cannot even imagine accomplishing all of that crafting in one week! So, instead of posting what I have crafted, this is my post of best intentions!

"Best intentions"... now that's something I can relate to! Accomplishing as much as you... probably not so much. ;)

Now back to my garden. Almost done!

Thanks for you post on my blog Rebecca. We have to try and get our little ones together this summer.
