Friends of ours were recently blessed with a baby girl, McKenna Reese. She entered this world earlier than anticipated and started out weighing 2 1/2 pounds. The family discovered that she has an extremely rare chromosome disorder (only 3 other documented cases) and a very rare neurological condition called Lissencephaly. (Children with Lissencephaly have severe mental retardation and poor control of movement similar to cerebal palsy.)
What the future holds for McKenna and her family is uncertain. Keep this very special baby in your prayers . . . and pray often!
