We enjoyed hosting our very own B & B. Grandpa came, slept, and left. Yep, we picked him up from the Metra in the evening. How ironic that he took the Amtrak by bus from MN to IL. We went out to eat for dinner then home for him to ready himself and his bike for his trip. My two youngins thoroughly enjoyed seeing his flat cup, pantry, s and stove. Simon was at the ready to help with his tool box in tow.
He woke early, ate oatmeal, and started his journey. Off he biked down our little street on his way back to MN.
Our little street, to the Prairie Path, to the next destination, day by day.
50 miles per day.
10 days.
What a trip!
Barn Star 14 coming soon!

Leon arrived home on Saturday around noon. It was a good trip for him. He talked to a lot of people and met a lot of others along his route.
He even made hotel reservations for us in March (I think) for the 100 mile rummage sale drive. I know that it is cold then, but still sounds like fun. What do we need? who knows! It will be something to do.
Love,
Mom
